Rudy B. Mora’s roots run deep in Bernalillo County. His family’s legacy of service, including his grandfather Pedro Baca’s tragic loss in the line of duty, inspires Rudy’s dedication to his community. As a twenty-eight year local business owner and twenty-eight year veteran in law enforcement, Rudy has dedicated his entire career to serving our community. Rudy proudly retired with distinction from the New Mexico State Police. He went on to gain executive level leadership experience as a Bernalillo County Undersheriff, serving the most populous county in New Mexico. He later served the Pueblo of Laguna as the Chief of Police.

  • Throughout his career, Rudy has been honored with numerous awards, including State Police Officer of the Year and induction into the National Criminal Interdiction “Hall of Fame.”He has also shared his expertise as an adjunct instructor for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, impacting thousands of law enforcement officers across the United States and beyond.

    As a candidate for the New Mexico Senate, Rudy Mora pledges to advocate for the rights and interests of law enforcement while working tirelessly to make our community safer and stronger. His vision for the future is one of progress and partnership, where every member of our community has the opportunity to thrive.
